I used to think I was a pretty smart girl and that I (in general) liked all the basics in education.
That is a lie.
I learned in my first two weeks at my traditional college that I wasn't smart. I would consider myself bright. Not neon yellow bright, but not burnt sienna dim either, just a nice... bright.
I do not (in general, partial or specific terms) like all basic education topics. I have to come to realize I detest science. After the basic understanding of how the world works and what not, I just couldn't care less. And for the most part that's not an issue, except when you need to complete a science course to complete a bachelor's degree you've been working on for 3.5 years (of schooling) over the last 8 years.
I detest science only slightly more than I detest laundry. I am fighting a losing battle between the clothes that need to be folded ( and put away) and the three science tasks I need to complete before the end of September.
Growing up is a hoax!
